RACE RESULTS ANDERS LATTERMANN - 2002 SEASON

Anders at the World Championship in Pilsen

I started with Slotracing at home on a Scalextric track in 2000, mainly playing around all by myself. In October 2001 I found the Stockholm Slotcar Club which I joined as a member and shortly after I participated in my first race. 2002 was my first Race Season. Below you can see how it turned out:

PARTILLE 6-HOURS 2002
February 17. Six hours team race with G12ES. Drove with Mats Hummel and Niclas Lindblom in the team: “Stockholm T/R”. The track in Partille, Sweden, is a Hasse Nilsson made copy of the Worlds track in Montreal, a very twisty thing. First time on this track and with this type of cars.
6th place of 7 starting teams

6 HOURS X-MAS RUSH AT THE SSC
December 28. Stockholm, Sweden. Hasse Nilsson 6-lane Hillclimb track. Team race. The six best drivers in the saloon cup where givven the role as teamleaders. Then they had to choose thier co-driver from the others. The teamleader with the lowest position in the cup choose first (he off course choose the best driver available, so the teams with this method where very even). I choose to drive with Juha Honkanen in the team "Blue". Saloon bodies on Parma Flexi-2 chassis, powered by standard 16D motors. Last x-mas we had a simular race (that time I was in the winning team "Richard the 3d", see the report in Swedish here). This time all the used cars from last year was taken apart and put in a big bag, then the bag was shaken so all parts where mixed and then they where handed out to the teams as a car kit. So the first thing we had to do was to rebuild the car and decide which parts should stay as it came, should be straightened or replaced by a new piece. After that the race started, we had the lead for five and a half hours and then the motor died...
2nd place of 6 starting teams
