Monogram Lumina Nascar on Pendle chassi

The body is a snap kit but I glued it together for extra strength and removed the possibility to open the hood. The special made chassi (and the plastic kit) was bought from http://www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/.

The interior is trimmed to be as light as possible. The bottom in the interior is just a black painted paper sheet. The motor actually sticks out into the interior but I painted the top of the motor black.

The driver is from Ninco. The wheels, axles and gears are from the Scalextric Race Tuning kit, so is the motor. The body posts are made of styrene tubing. The car handles quite well after I put a magnet in the front of the chassi (visible in the gap).

I modified the guide and installed the TSRF guide instead which is much better than the original one. Deeper blade and also better braid and sits in a brass tube so it is free of play and doesn't rock back and forth.
