Models

Models have been a big part of my life. When I was a kid I built lot's of Lego models and later started with plastic models. The first ones was probably built with more glue than plastic and off course looked awful. Over the years the result have improved even if I still make lot's of mistakes and don't get the result I want.

I did also have a period when I modelled in 3D on the computer. Nowadays I mostly build motorized models. Below are som examples of what I have modelled over the years and also links to more info and special departments covering specific themes on my web.

Railroad models  

Brass model kit that I have soldered together of an old swedish box car. Still needs painting.

Not yet ready built brass model made from scratch and aftermarket parts on a plastic chassi from an old Roco wagon. I build this one after a drawing I have. It is an old swedish N3a model.
Cars  

I modelled quite many cars over the years. Here a 1:24 scale Chevy van out in the dessert sand. The background is a poster I had on my wall in my room when I lived at my parents place in the early 80s.
And another 1:24 scale, a Chevy from 1953. Modelled and customized by me when I was pre-teen. The air intake on the hood is actually a gastank part from a motorcycle.

I have built quite many motorized slotcars in both 1:32 and 1:24 scale with plastic kits as the base. Here a Toyota GT-1. See my special department on this subject here.
Airplanes  

I've built several model airplanes over the years. This one is a Gloster Gladiator stationed at F8 in Barkarby. Model in scale 1:72 and built when I was a young teenager.

Paraglider modelled in 3D. I also flew paragliders in 1:1 scale both in Sweden and the alps. My 3D department is found here.


1:1 scale model. Here at the first roll out at Barkarby airport. It's called Breguet B1. This is one of the first military airplanes in Sweden. It was rebuilt from the drawings and now stands at the airforce museum. I was a member in the project for two years in the early 80s.

Here is the picture that inspired me to do the paraglider 3D-model. It's me some hundred meters over the landing field at St. André Les Alps. I had the camera mounted under the glider looking down through the lines. It was controlled through an IR-remote control.
Boats  

I've modeled plastic aircraft carriers and other boats as well as making my own. This hull I made a long time ago. One day it will be ready with radio control and all.
It is carved out of solid wood and my thumb still has a scar after a slipage with the carving tool.

Military  

Diaramas with military subject was something I did a lot when I was young. Here 1:35 scale Willys jeep with markings from D-Day in Normandie 1944.

Sci-Fi  

Moon survey lander. Model built out of tooth pick pins and some pen parts and other scrap.
