Before joining 3 Anders worked for Bredbandsbolaget (B2). Bredbandsbolaget is a Swedish broadband company deploying Fibre-To-The-Home. Today only 10 Mbit/s full duplex is offered to each customer. The last mile to each apartment is made by Ethernet CAT6 wires capable of 1000 Mbit/s. The last mile switch is a standard 10/100 Mbit/s switch which by just a change in the software can be switched up to 100 Mbit/s per apartment. This is planned for the future when TV and Video services are offered. Today only ISP services are offered which is why only the reason for using the 10 Mbit/s mode.

Anders has been the Project Manager for the B2 Video on Demand (VoD) project from March 1st 2000 to date. This project has the goal of serving up to 500.000 customers with VoD all over Europe and is therefore the biggest Video on Demand project, to date in the world.

The project went through the phases of specification, business case, procurement of platform and content, lab tests, negotiations with vendors and the preparation and forming of the organisation for implementation and operation of the platform. The project was put on hold at the beginning of December 2000 just as it had reached the point of contract signing with the chosen vendor. This was a board decision that affected all TV/Video related services at B2 since the financial market had drastically changed.

From January 2001 and forward Anders has been working with evaluation of vendors for PC-streaming, VoD, STBs and IPTV, both 3rd party vendors with both platform and content and also just technology vendors. Anders has also been making different plans for pilots and several business case scenarios trying to find a workable way forward. Included in these cases have been pure R&D work involving new hardware that is not available on the market and trying to find vendors willing to manufacture this hardware.

Anders also took the role as Project Manager for the IPTV pilot with 54 households running Pace DSL4000 STBs over Ethernet when the former Project Manager left B2. He has also been involved in the negotiations for solving remaining contract issues with the vendor for the IPTV head end that was deployed in October 2000.
